Submission Guidelines

Echo Sounded considers poetry, prose, essays, translations, book reviews, and anything else you can think of writing. As this informal journal acts as a forum for USA writers of broad proficiencies and interests, we accept most submissions, although the editors reserve the right to make final decisions regarding publication based on content.
  General Guidelines
To have your work considered, please follow our general guidelines:
  • You must be a University of South Alabama student or alumni in order to qualify for online publication. As such, please submit your work using a Jaguar "usouthal" email account, or simply include your Jag number in the body of your email. We will not accept submissions made any other way. 
  • We accept simultaneous submissions. 
  • All work should be single-spaced.
  • Do not use ALL CAPS, even for titles. 
      Fine Print
      By submitting your work, you affirm that you are the sole author. Echo Sounded reserves only the right to post your work on its ezine, waiving any right to publish or redistribute your work in other venues or formats. As the author, you maintain all rights for your work.
      Echo Sounded reserves the right to discard without notice those submissions that do not follow our guidelines.
